Read the guides, borrow the ideas, send your details. Here is how each of those works.
These terms cover how you can use this website. They explain what the window guides are for, how to read the reference photographs, what a Window Enquiry does and doesn’t do, and who owns the content. By using the site, you accept them.

CLAUSE · GENERAL INFORMATION
Guides are general information
We write the Window Guides to help homeowners think through their choices. That includes the Window Styles Guide, Frame Materials Guide, Glazing Options Explained, Windows for Period Homes, Restore or Replace? and Window Care and Maintenance. They are general information. They aren’t professional, structural, engineering, building or legal advice for any particular property.
A guide can explain what a sash window is. It can’t inspect the wall your window sits in.
Get advice from a qualified professional before acting on anything you read here if structure, safety glass, heritage controls, strata rules or building approvals may be involved. The measurements described in Measuring and Sizing Basics help you describe an opening in an enquiry. They aren’t final manufacturing sizes.

Reference images are illustrative
The photographs on this site are stock reference images, including those in the Window Reference Gallery. Each one was chosen to show a style, material, finish or detail. They aren’t photographs of windows we have made. They don’t show a finished job, a specific product, an exact colour or a set specification.
Colours, glass tints and proportions also look different depending on your screen and the light. If a photo shows what you have in mind, describe it or mention its reference mark in your enquiry. Your window is defined by the details agreed for it, not by the picture.

An enquiry is not an order
You can use the Window Enquiry form to describe the window you need made. Sending it starts a conversation about Custom Windows Made to Order. It doesn’t create an order, a quote, a booking or a contract, and it doesn’t commit you or us to anything.

You may not copy, republish, sell or adapt the guides or the site design elsewhere, in whole or in substantial part, without written permission. To ask for permission, use the enquiry form.
